Even Sharks have their weaknesses.
A guy pitches Dadware. It’s a shirt that allows dads to have skin to skin bonding with their newborns without taking off their shirt.
Apparently, few dads will do this.
It isn’t the skin to skin bonding that freaks them out, but taking off their shirt around other people.
It’s a real thing.
But the guy who pitches the Sharks takes his shirt off during the pitch to reveal a flabby body.
This guy has guts that few other guys do. And he comes up with a product and 200000 worth of sales.
But none of the Sharks can figure out how to billion-a-tize it, so they go out.
The creator of Dadware sees human nature at it’s core, and the Sharks are like, “Yeah, but we’re not sure what to do with this.”
They hit a wall.
Get a corner on an easy to sell commodity and we’ll invest. But something like this? It’s too hard.
